The Knotted Nellie began as a quiet dream- one rooted in a love for simple things, slow living and the beauty of handmade pieces that feel like they've been around forever. What started as a creative outlet- mixing herbs, pouring soaps, gathering thrifted treasures and bringing old things back to life- quickly became something much more meaningful.

There was something special about creating with intention- about tying together pieces of the past with the present. Each jar, each bundle, each carefully crafted item held a story. Before long, those stories were finding their way into the hands and homes of others.

What once lived as a small idea at a kitchen table grew  into a dream the refused to stay small. 

From early mornings spent preparing for markets and craft shows to the joy of seeing someone fall in love with a piece you made. this dream has become something real. Something shared. Something alive.

Tucked away in the quiet comfort of home, The Wash House is where simple rituals begin.

Inspired by old farmstead evenings, linen aprons, and herbs gathered by hand, The Knotted Nellie’s Wash House was created to bring rest back into the everyday. 

Each magnesium spray, vegetable soap, salt soak and sugar scrub is thoughtfully made in small batches using time-honored ingredients and gentle botanicals and essential oils.

Here, bathing is not rushed - it is a return. A moment to soften, to breathe and to care for the body the old-fashioned way.
